Enbrightenment terms the tower as 'babblon' and does not use the ancient name of the city, although it is easy to see the connection with the story of the tower of Babylon. babblon (intentional use of lower case) is the unending babble of the ego perpetually searching out the world it barely experiences and creates a personal god. This happens to also be the greatest of all ideology, it is the most subtle and easily the most hidden.
It (seems) is hard to see how a person secretly, in the mind (to their-self) worships their interpretation of Real God instead of Real God. The difference appears as ego is in constant flux and never really anything, in other words, the ego is a pattern not a thing experiencing the patterns of life, therefore, the kind of god that ego creates is always capable of changing to fit in with the persons current attitude and relationship with life (including current religion).
It is the kind of god that serves them not the other way around. The god of ego is just another pattern in the complex patterns ego weaves together. Break the pattern and you break who a person thinks they Are, even their world-view and ultimately their god.
The god of ego always understands why you need something else or why you will become involved in some kind of activity. The god of ego can always be reasoned with, and the individual is always capable of rationalizing their action before the throne of ego's god, thus, always finding a way to still do what feels good to ego.
God Is Peace and Rest to those weary of the unending search, weary of the subtle but desperate grip of the ego on the body/mind (like a hand holding on for life), and weary of not having Real Satisfaction in life, the kind of Satisfaction that can't be taken away like our friends and family.
The ego literally places a conscious grip upon the body and mind, even the soul, of the individual. It is difficult to understand how this grip is a constant presence while in the grip of ego. However, when the individual lets go of the activity of ego for the Living Presence of God, that one can literally feel the Release that occurs through one's whole living experience; the physical bodily form will literally feel the Release of that conscious grip.
God Gives Peace and Rest from the egoic conscious grip of fear (fear of death and non-existence). In the beginning of one's Spiritual progress and awakening that Release will tend to be experienced but the ego's grip returns quickly. With genuine Spiritual growth that grip will be burnt up in the Transforming Spiritual Heart~Fire of God ItSelf.
God's Satisfaction gives peace to those weary of the constant struggle of maintaining the ego, and God's Satisfaction gives peace and rest to those weary of the perpetual seeking of a 'self' (a self that is unchanging and provides a True foundation) that lasts for a life-time and more! God Is the (Only) Source of Real Self; Discover Who you Are by Knowing that which Transcends and Includes All.
